“Enter the Deep–there you will find  all the whispers of love and joy you will ever need”– Chris-Ann (from “The Muse Tarot”)

Woe. This struck a golden cord within me.

Enter the Deep.

The power of connection to Source is strong. Carry it with you. We forget. We simply forget. Why? How? How do we forget we always have Source with us, ready to aid, support and guide us? How do we forget that there is the Source of all there is, who knows every good for us, and who holds for us our beautiful future, of bounty and goodness. Who holds every answer to guide us? Always available, always accessible? How do we forget that? Why?  If each of us had a genie in a bottle, would the result be the same? I think not. I think we would call up the genie constantly until we longed to do something on our very own again. The genie would not be part of us, but a delegate which itself holds all the power.

With Source, and calling on it, that wisdom, courage and resilience pours into us, transforming and healing us, so that when we call forth our wishes, our dreams, we are doing it, not an outside force.

Yet, in those moments during which fearful thoughts infiltrate our minds, hopelessness consumes us, anger floods us or hurt overwhelms us, we will forget that the rays of healing are waiting to rain down upon us. We forget. We are buried in our belief that we are limited and it seems  too dark to see the life raft floating in the distance, or the rope descending from the heavens.

We generally act like two-year olds. We know that Mom/Dad are there to catch us when we fall, but anxious to experience everything, we adventure quickly and with some false confidence, into everything, testing our limits and yelling a resounding “NO!” when we are asked to come back into the fold of our protective and watchful parents. We want our freedom, to know what we can do by ourselves. As we grow, what is developed is a grounded  belief that “I can (and) must do this by myself.” Otherwise,  to ask for help or guidance is a show of weakness or inadequacy — that we cannot manage our  life by ourselves. Asking for guidance and help means that we’re dependent, clueless or confused. Not “enough” or up to the task. That is why we don’t ask for what we really need. That is why we not only forget we always have Source, but we often reject it, or avoid going “there” unless the stakes are unbelievably high.

Yet, Source is not a parent or an outside guru.  The cool discovery — We are Source. Consider that we are each an individualization of the “All There Is” — Source –that which created us. We are an expression of Source, a character on Earth loving authored by the ultimate source of creation.

Like a car that goes to the gas station, we can ask for the fuel we need to refresh, rejuvenate our containers of thought, action, and faith. We can ask and receive the right directions, and clean the muck off our windows, as we continue our journey.  It’s the way station to rev up our engines and fire off in the direction that will work best for us. When we hit the tunnels of dark on our journeys, we know we have the headlights built in that will consistently illuminate. We just need to turn them on.

I often suffer from stage fright. Yes, I scare myself about talking to a room full of people. I know there is some place in me that needs to remember that I have all I need to succeed speaking in front of a lot of people. So I call on Source, and ask it to accompany me, to pour through me and enable me to be a blessing to the waiting audience. I walk in and I feel the Light within me, soon speaking through me. I am fueled, relaxed and my engine is humming. I speak and it goes really well. It’s just switching to the thought that I am so much more than I think I am.

Living a Spirit-Guided life includes having a strong awareness and presence that your “Force goes with you.” Always. When you call for the guidance, a centered peace comes with it. As you become unified and filled with Source, you are enabled and empowered to walk forward into the newness of every moment with easy courage.

To build and use the portal to Source? Regularly, Go into the Deep. Meditate and sit in space with Source. Engage in simple contemplation. Take a nature walk in quiet. Just hear and feel yourself breathe… deeply. In any difficult moment, call in your personal calvary. Ask for your answers and watch for the breadcrumbs. Build this habit, exercise its sweet muscle.

You don’t have to believe in the Source (it’s there whether or not you believe it). Just do the exercise of just Being alone with your Self and experience that. Allow yourself to be a channel, and hear the soft whispers rise from your soul into your consciousness. In the final analysis, your own personal experience is all that matters.
